Apple Intelligence confirmed for iPhone, iPad and Mac. New update expands AI to more languages and regions in April



Apple has announced that Apple Intelligence, its personal intelligence system, will soon support additional languages, including French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. Additionally, localized English versions will be available for Singapore and India.These new language options will roll out globally with the release of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 in April. Developers can begin testing these updates today.

With these upcoming software releases, iPhone and iPad users in the EU will gain access to Apple Intelligence for the first time. The technology will also expand to a new platform with Apple Vision Pro, initially available in U.S. English, enhancing users’ ability to communicate, collaborate, and express themselves in innovative ways.

Apple Intelligence is designed with privacy at its core, leveraging on-device processing for many of its AI models. For tasks requiring more computational power, Private Cloud Compute extends the security of the iPhone to the cloud while maintaining strict privacy protections.

Apple has confirmed that more features and enhancements for Apple Intelligence, including expanded Siri capabilities, will be introduced in the coming months.
