The company said it has set up its first dark store, or mini-warehouse to fulfil quick delivery demands, in Bengaluru.
DTDC said it plans to expand this service to make rapid delivery options available to businesses and customers across the country.
“We are excited to launch our first dark store in Bengaluru, a pivotal ecommerce hub, where we will serve the growing needs of emerging brands and businesses,” CEO Abhishek Chakraborty said in a statement.
This comes a day after Gurugram-based Delhivery announced the expansion of its quick delivery service, which it launched in January. The ecommerce logistics company has expanded the service to Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai with plans to enter more cities, chief executive Sahil Barua said on Friday in a post-earnings analyst call.
