“This investment in Alpha-Numero demonstrates Quest Global’s commitment to strengthening its semiconductor offerings and expanding its mission and safety-critical solutions for its clients,” Quest Global said in a statement.
Alpha-Numero is a US-based VLSI (very large scale integration) design company with expertise in FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), which are reprogrammable and cost-efficient integrated circuits capable of handling parallel computing processing. These are used for commercial applications such as in aerospace, hi-tech, automotive and semiconductor space.
This is the second acquisition after the US private equity firm Carlyle picked up minority ownership in Quest Global in August 2023.
Last year in May, Quest Global bought a majority stake in enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions provider People Tech Group for an undisclosed sum. This was to expand its footprint in India and North America within automative and hi-tech industries.
