iPhone 16 launch: When and where to watch Apple September event. Check details

Apple’s eagerly anticipated September event, titled ‘Glowtime,’ is set to take place on September 9, 2024. Scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (10:30 PM IST) the event will be broadcast live from Apple Park in Cupertino, California. Fans around the globe can tune in via Apple’s YouTube channel, official website, and Apple TV app.

What’s To Expect?

The highlight of this year’s event will undoubtedly be the introduction of the iPhone 16 series. Apple is expected to unveil four new iPhone models: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Each model is anticipated to bring a range of upgrades:

  • iPhone 16: Featuring a 6.1-inch display.
  • iPhone 16 Plus: Equipped with a 6.7-inch display.
  • iPhone 16 Pro: Boasting a 6.3-inch display.
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max: Sporting a 6.9-inch display.

The Pro models are rumored to include a new 120Hz refresh rate and enhanced optical zoom capabilities, thanks to a new glass-molded lens. Notably, the iPhone 16 Pro Max may also see a screen size increase from 6.69 inches to 6.86 inches, with slimmer bezels enhancing the display area without enlarging the phone itself.

Apple Intelligence and Siri Enhancements

Following its introduction at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, Apple Intelligence—Apple’s new generative AI initiative—is expected to be integrated into the latest iPhone models. Unlike larger AI models from competitors, Apple Intelligence is designed to improve user experience with a smaller, more focused dataset. Alongside this, Siri will receive a visual update, replacing the traditional Siri circle with a glowing border to indicate when the assistant is active.

Apple Watch and Other Announcements

In addition to the iPhone 16 series, Apple might reveal new updates for its Apple Watch lineup. Expect the announcement of the Apple Watch Series 10 and potentially the Apple Watch Ultra 3. New features and improvements are likely to enhance health tracking and overall functionality.

How To Watch

To catch all the announcements live, visit Apple’s official YouTube channel or their website. The event will also be available on the Apple TV app for those who prefer to watch on their devices.

Apple has not yet disclosed details for any further 2024 events, but traditionally, October sees announcements focused on Macs and iPads. Given the recent iPad-focused event in May, it’s unclear whether a similar event will occur this year.

The “It’s Glowtime” event promises to be a showcase of Apple’s latest innovations and will likely set the stage for the company’s holiday product lineup. Stay tuned for all the updates and announcements as Apple continues to push the boundaries of technology.
