While these brands often stick to safe and familiar designs, it’s rare to see something truly fresh and unexpected—but that’s exactly what Noise has attempted with its Master Buds, featuring Bose-tuned audio. On paper, they have all the right ingredients for success, but how do they actually perform? Let’s dive into the pros and cons in this review.
Design
When reviewing TWS earbuds, both the case and the buds need to be assessed separately—the case for convenience and the buds for comfort. Fortunately, Noise scores well in both aspects.
The Case: Compact & Stylish, But Scores Less in Quality
The compact case takes design inspiration from vinyl records, though it might take a second to notice the resemblance. That said, it looks visually appealing right away and is highly portable, slipping into your pocket without taking up much space.Noise has also ensured thoughtful design elements, like the LED indicator on the buds. It glows orange while charging and flashes white when pairing, with well-placed positioning for easy visibility.However, the case itself is made of lightweight plastic, which doesn’t feel the most premium. While it holds up in daily use, it’s best to avoid major drops, as durability could be a concern.
The Buds: Comfortable & Secure Fit
The buds follow suit with a comfortable fit. The default silicone tips worked well for me, but you can swap them out if needed. The tips are soft, grip well, and don’t cause irritation—even during extended wear.
Additionally, they hold up well in the gym, staying secure without slipping off. The touch-capacitive controls are fairly responsive, though you may need to find the right spot for the best response.
Sound Performance
The Noise Master Buds come equipped with 12.4mm drivers and Bose-tuned audio, promising an immersive listening experience. They also support ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and LHDC 5.0 for better connectivity.
The audio output is loud and detailed, and I tested them across multiple music genres. While the sound quality holds up well, ANC performance is underwhelming. If you’re someone who commutes in public and relies on noise cancellation to tune out the surroundings, you might find these lacking in that aspect.
The Noise Audio app allows you to switch between multiple sound modes, but I found that the presets don’t significantly alter the experience. That said, the balanced output does make for an enjoyable listening session.
I want to close this section with the calling experience. I found significant misses during my calls with the person on the other end having a hard time listening to me. The experience was choppy even though the microphone performs optimally if I wanted to talk to the AI assistant on my device.
Battery Life & Charging
Battery life is one of the strongest aspects of the Master Buds. Against the claimed 44-hour battery, I consistently got around 40 hours with regular usage. In real terms, this meant I could go up to five days without needing a charge. Additionally, the fast-charging support is a great plus—just 10 minutes of charging gives you 6 hours of playback, making them incredibly convenient for on-the-go use.
Verdict
The Noise Master Buds deliver good sound quality and impressive battery life, but the ANC performance leaves room for improvement. If ANC is a priority, you might want to explore other options. However, for those seeking long battery life and a pleasant listening experience, these buds are worth considering.
