OnePlus Nord 5 confirms 50 MP rear and 50 MP front camera

OnePlus on Tuesday (June 24, 2025) confirmed that OnePlus Nord 5 will have a 50 MP camera at front and a 50 MP lens at the back. The Chinese smartphone company said the rear camera of OnePlus Nord 5 will be a Sony Lyt-700 sensor. The front camera is going to be a JN5 sensor.
The OnePlus Nord 5 will also support 4K video recording at 60fps for both the front and rear camera. OnePlus Nord 5 also claims to offer an 116° view with its 8 MP ultra-wide lens.
The OnePlus Nord 5 brings an upgraded LivePhoto functionality with Ultra HDR support, capturing 3-second motion shots. It records 1.5 seconds before and after the shutter press, says OnePlus.
The OnePlus Nord 5 has been confirmed to run on the 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor with LPDDR5X RAM.

OnePlus Buds 4 will have the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) of up to 55dB across 5500 Hz frequency range. It will also have the new Adaptive Mode, which balances the level of noise cancellation and environmental awareness based on surroundings.
OnePlus Nord 5 will be launched on July 8 along with OnePlus Nord CE 5 and OnePlus Buds 4.
