“With a network of over 1,000 active quick commerce retailers powered by Kiko Live in Delhi NCR, we are currently fulfilling more than 5,000 grocery orders every day. We are also in the process of onboarding stores in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Indore for quick commerce. As one of the leading enablers of retailer-led quick commerce on ONDC, Kiko Live has already fulfilled over 600,000 grocery retail orders. Our goal is to scale rapidly to over 10,000 daily orders within the next two months,” Alok Chawla, cofounder of Kiko Live, said.
The app allows users to paste an entire grocery list directly into the search box, simplifying the shopping process by eliminating the need to search for individual items. Kiko Live has received a patent for this unique multi-search feature. Additionally, it suggests nearby stores that have the items in stock. A key feature of the app is its seamless user experience, which enhances shopping efficiency. Future updates will enable users to take photos of their grocery lists and directly add items to their carts.
The ONDC ecosystem for quick commerce consists of various partners working together: seller apps that supply the ecosystem, buyer apps that generate demand, and logistics partners that handle quick deliveries. While Kiko Live has been a primary supply partner for grocery stores until now, it has also launched its own buyer App to drive demand within the retail network. This incremental demand comes as Kiko Live’s seller partners continue to receive orders from large Buyer Apps like Paytm, Ola, Mystore, and others, with added demand generated from the Kiko Live Buyer App.
The rise of quick commerce has led to the closure of over 200,000 kirana stores in recent months. As a result, upgrading to digital selling has become essential for retailers rather than a luxury. The total grocery home delivery market in India is approximately $88 billion and is growing at an annual rate of 10%. Out of this, about $4 billion has shifted to dark store-led quick commerce.

On Thursday, PwC India in a report said quick commerce is more common in metros and tier 1 cities than in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Over 65% of consumers in these areas rely on quick commerce for essentials like packaged foods. This trend has reduced foot traffic to physical stores by 28%, highlighting the shift towards convenience and immediacy.
Traditional retailers face challenges from the digital shift, with 34% reporting negative impacts from online shopping. To stay competitive, 64% are self-funding marketing efforts, emphasising the need for a strategic roadmap,” said the report launched at the Retailers Association of India’s (RAI) Retail Leadership Summit in Mumbai.
