Cybersecurity company, Rubrik, has announced plans to open a new office in Bangalore by mid-2025. Company co-founder and CEO, Bipul Sinha, said that they are looking to hire talent from the country for the expansion.

“The new facility will combine product development, product management, customer support, and global recovery operations under one roof,” Rubrik said in a statement.

The Palo Alto-based company made inroads in India in 2017 with the opening of their first office in Bangalore, making it one of key early markets in the APAC region. Then, in 2019, Rubrik launched its state-of-the-art R&D centre in Bangaluru. Additionally, they have teams based out of Delhi, Mumbai and Bangaluru.

“India is in the midst of a massive digital transformation, and we believe there’s a huge opportunity for Rubrik to help secure its digital future,” said Sinha. “By investing in top engineering talent, we believe we will continue to create innovative solutions that enhance Rubrik’s portfolio and support our global growth. Our new state-of-the-art facility will help meet these future plans.

”The company went public in April last year after a successful IPO and is listed on the NYSE. This put Rubrik’s valuation at $5.61 billion.

In December, it was reported the company had generated $1 billion in subscription annual recurring revenue.
