Samsung’s Galaxy XR headset runs on the Android XR platform and is built to push visual and interaction boundaries in mixed reality. It features dual Micro-OLED displays delivering a combined 27 million pixels with a 3,552 x 3,840 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut. Under the hood, the headset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. A multi-camera setup enables 3D photo and video capture at 6.5MP resolution with an 18mm focal length and f/2.0 aperture. Two pass-through cameras let users view their surroundings with augmented elements layered on top.

Samsung claims the headset delivers up to 2 hours of general use and around 2.5 hours of video playback on a single charge. The Samsung Galaxy XR headset is priced at $1,799 (approximately ₹1,58,000) for the sole 16GB RAM + 256GB storage variant in the US. In South Korea, the headset costs KRW 2,690,000 (around ₹1,65,000) for the same configuration.
For buyers who prefer not to pay the full amount upfront, Samsung is offering a monthly payment plan of $149 (roughly ₹13,000) for 12 months. The Galaxy XR headset is currently available only in the US and South Korea through Samsung’s official online store. It comes in a single Silver Shadow colour option.
